These black and white plates, with a decorative rim and a mountain landscape in the center, date from the 1950s. They have a beautiful original patina, with no chips, only signs of normal wear. Société Céramique de Maastricht is a historic ceramics manufacturer located in Maastricht, the Netherlands. It was founded in 1851 by Petrus Regout. In 1958, it merged with its competitor Mosa and in 1992 was acquired by the Sphinx-Gustavsberg Group.

Five splendid antique plates in perfect condition from the renowned French brand Pillivuyt, one of the oldest French porcelain manufacturers with 200 years of history. The factory is a true guardian of its artisanal expertise and has been recognized since 2009 as a Living Heritage Company (a label distinguishing French companies with authentic know-how). The Pillivuyt company bears the family name of its founder, Jean Louis Richard Pillivuyt. Richard Pillivuyt came from a family of Swiss bankers. Mr. Pillivuyt obtained French citizenship and partnered with a landowner from the town of Foëcy (Cher), Mr. Klein, to create the Pillivuyt factory. Pillivuyt remained a family business from its inception until the Second World War.

Notre lot qui met ici à l’honneur les dahlias date certainement des années 50, une période où le motif floral était très à la mode. La vaisselle en porcelaine était alors très prisée et souvent utilisée dans les foyers pour les grandes occasions. Aujourd’hui, et pour notre plus grande joie, ces objets reviennent sur le devant de la scène. Pourquoi on l’aime ? La qualité du lot qui est en très bon état. La bordure dorée, c’est très élégant. Le superbe motif floral, les dahlias sont magnifiques. La blancheur de la porcelaine et le contraste avec les couleurs des fleurs. Pour le rappel aux années 50, et que l’histoire continue.
