This very pretty statue depicts the Virgin and Child. It is made of plaster and is signed Merlini V17. It measures 51 cm in height. The details are very precise (faces, hands, etc.). This lovely Virgin Mary inspires serenity and affection. It is in good overall condition, without cracks or breaks. It shows signs of age: the paint is faded in some places, and there is a scratch on a fleur-de-lis on her cloak (see photo).
