Crystal decanter stamped Saint-Louis Trianon
EXCEPTIONAL PIECE! Splendid crystal decanter from one of the oldest and most prestigious crystal houses in the world, the French crystalworks Saint-Louis. Part of the Trianon collection, one of the oldest from the Saint-Louis brand and a benchmark of classicism and refinement. It is the haute couture of crystal. The decanter is stamped 'Cristal Saint-Louis France' on the underside and is in perfect condition. Founded in 1556, the crystalworks initially specialized in glass production. In 1767, it received the title of Royal Crystal Works from Louis XV, thus becoming the leading crystal manufacturer in France. In 2007, it was awarded the "Living Heritage Company" label for its role in preserving traditional craftsmanship. In 1834, the Trianon crystal glasses from the Saint-Louis crystalworks inaugurated the era of glassware services, a model of refinement. It is no coincidence that in the 1960s, this Trianon service graced the tables of the Elysée Palace.
