This Scania model, released in 1976, is splendid and ready to go back into service. Arcopal became emblematic of an entire generation, and the mere mention of the brand name transports us back to the heart of the seventies. Set of 5 cups in perfect condition from the renowned French manufacturer Arcopal. A 1970s model with a hawthorn flower motif. Arcopal's assembly process was revolutionary in the world of industrial glassmaking. Opal, a resistant mineral, is combined with the raw material: glass. Their fusion is reinforced by a specific heat treatment called tempering, making the material three times stronger than conventionally manufactured glass and able to withstand sudden temperature changes. Arcopal tableware can therefore go from the refrigerator to the oven without any risk of shattering. The material is non-porous, making the cups perfectly hygienic.
