Beautiful set of glasses from the famous Belgian brand Durobor. You know that hard edge on the rim of the glass that's now found on all glasses? That's what they created ;) The 6 glasses are still in perfect condition and just waiting to find a second life in your kitchen!
Rare and superb set of six cobalt blue glasses. They are stamped "REIMS" and "FRANCE" on the bottom. They come from the Reims glassworks. Their shape and color make them timeless and contemporary. They are in remarkable condition.
Don't be fooled by the picture: these types of glasses are often found in very small sizes for drinking liqueur. Not so here: these glasses are 8 cm tall and 8 cm in diameter. Very respectable dimensions that make them a strong contender in the water glass category! Their "Made in France" inscription on the bottom, the small checkerboard pattern, and their delicate engraving will add a touch of elegance to any occasion! In very good condition, except for a few areas where the gilding is slightly worn (see photos).

Byrrh brand glasses, from the French aperitif, that marked an era. On the glass's emblem, the gilded metal medallion, are portraits of: Louis XVIII (2 glasses), Charles X (2 glasses), and Louis XV, Rex, and Christianiss (2 glasses). Founded in 1866, it's one of the oldest aperitif brands. In the 50s and 60s, glasses with a gilded metal medallion were fashionable for promoting the product. These pretty glasses with the gold-plated medallion were fashionable in the 1950s and 60s for promoting perhaps one of the oldest French aperitifs, Byrrh. This brand, registered in 1873, which was originally called "Tonique Hygiène à base de vins généreux et de quinquina" (Hygienic Tonic made from generous wines and quinine), but had to change its name under pressure from doctors in Montpellier—quite a story!—reached its peak in the 1930s before giving way to anise-flavored drinks in the 1960s. The drink is still available on our shelves, but these beautiful medallion glasses are no longer produced.
