Small vintage Arcopal carafe from the Fruits of France collection

    Description

This 1970s carafe from the Fruits de France series is lovely. You'll love using it and might even leave it on your countertop instead of storing it away in a cupboard ;) Arcopal's assembly process is a revolution in the industrial world of glassmaking. Opal, a resistant mineral, is combined with the raw material: glass. Their fusion is strengthened by a specific heat treatment called tempering, making the material three times stronger than conventionally manufactured glass and able to withstand sudden temperature changes. Arcopal tableware can therefore go from the refrigerator to the oven without any risk of shattering. The material is non-porous, making the containers perfectly hygienic.
